A Missouri Valley dispatch reports Loveland Iowa nearly wiped out by a waterspout and cloudburst. The storm swept the Boyer valley gully town destroying homes and possibly causing many deaths including Mrs Sayles and an unnamed son. Search for missing bodies continues.
A fire in a Franklin Avenue tenement at No 1628 broke out on the second floor shortly after 9 o clock in the morning. George Wolff and family occupied the front while Charles Housge and family were in the rear. The father of George Wolff suffocated, Mrs Wolff and two children seriously burned but not fatally. Mrs Housse and two young sons were badly burned with doubtful recovery. Origin believed to be a paint shop on the first floor. Property damage estimated at 10000 dollars.
Seven boys aged 4 to 12 from St Joseph Champaign County Illinois were brought to the Pasteur Institute on West Tenth Street New York for rabies treatment after a dog bite. The dog died after showing hydrophobic symptoms and the boys will receive daily inoculations at the institute for two weeks.
Westfield Massachusetts reports Willie Cummings died after a gargle or spray was put into a bottle labeled for internal medicine. Officials speculate the error by a druggist led to ingestion of the wrong preparation. An autopsy will be held to determine the cause.
Ottawa Ont June 3 A Campau family of Georges Lake, Rescoté County, ate wild parsnips last Wednesday. Two boys aged 7 and 9 died. The grandfather, mother and a 38 year old child likely will not recover. The others are out of danger.
Montreal reports St Jacquie de ache nearly destroyed by fire. Twenty five people burned, many tobacco warehouses burned, losses estimated at 100000 dollars. Fifty residents left homeless. Nearby Freeport church roof collapse injures five with two feared dead. A Kansas City dispatch notes a Guthrie Oklahoma bare knuckle bout ending in a foul win for Hoggatt over McGinty.
Baltimore mayor as finance committee chair called a special meeting to review a bid from Edward R Bacon head of Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern for 32 500 shares of city held Baltimore and Ohio stock. The offer or price was declined.
The Greenback state convention in Breinem Ham, Alabama on June 3 nominated J. M. Fites for governor Patrick Tucker for secretary of state G. W. Smith for auditor and Dr. J. T. Masterson for superintendent of education.

Chicago June 3 The late Western States Passenger Association chair John N Abbott is appointed assistant to the president by President Hill of the Great Northern. The appointment is effective June 1 and Abbott plans to be in St Paul with Hill.
In Hunsolot Iowa on June 3 citizens strive to secure a site for an industrial home for the adult blind. Humboldt college property appraised at 40000 dollars and sixty acres are offered on condition the home be placed locally.
