Charles H Darling retires as assistant secretary of the navy
Charles H. Darling retires Tuesday October 24 from the office of assistant secretary of the navy a post held since December. He will be succeeded by Truman H of Detroit Michigan who took the oath and will oversee the department as the new secretary. The court of appeals at Albany denied a motion for reargument in the case of Albert T Patrick convicted of murder and death sentence in 1910. Patrick’s execution date remains uncertain as appeals proceed.

Prison Hearing At Windsor Delayed To November Ninth

Kilburn Killed in Wallingford Construction Fall
Kilburn died after falling from the staging at Wallingford Town Hall where he was overseeing construction. Jock Towskey witnessed the accident and called for aid, but Mr Kilburn died minutes later. He was 38 and survived by his wife and five siblings. Funeral planned at New Wallingford today.
