Whist Club Hosts Elegant Evening at Baker Home

The Whist Club enjoyed a refined gathering last night at Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baker on Washington street. Palm decorated rooms glowed with light as ladies and gentlemen played at multiple tables. Mrs. John Gray won the first prize, Mr. Shirley Carter the gentlemen’s prize, and Mrs. A M Baker earned the booby prize. Ices followed by an elaborate supper at 11.

Snow mass knocks down man near Masonic Temple

Mr. John Haines was hit by a mass of snow from the temple roof while walking past the Masonic Temple. He sustained only a small bump and no serious injury was reported.
