Cart Horse Breaks Through the Floor

On Wednesday morning Isaac R. McIlwee of Gravel Springs suffered the loss of a valuable young mare after chopped feed lodged in her windpipe and caused choking. farmer J W Larrick of Rosenberger also reports losing a preferred animal last week to young clover ingestion.

Beekeeper Dies After Bee Attack in Virginia Yard
W. R. Conrad of Milldale Warren County Virginia died within ten minutes after bees swarmed a tree limb and stung him on the neck and temple. The 45 year old large man left a widow and several children and was kin to Montana mine owner W. G. Conrad.

Stucco Work Begins on Shenandoah Bank Building
This afternoon Harry Marshall of Hagerstown Maryland and Carson Haymaker of this city started the stucco work on the Shenandoah Valley National Bank building. The patterns are handsome and will add a fine finish to the plaster work, which was mostly completed weeks earlier.

Death of Mrs Eliza Cornell at Hayfield
Mrs Eliza Cornell died last Thursday at her Hayfield home aged 62. Survived by her husband, two sons, and a brother near Hayfield. Rev E W M Hartman led funeral services. Interment in a family graveyard on the premises. At her request a separate service will be held in Faulkner Grove near Mount Olive Church.

Hundreds Killed in Mine Disaster at Coal Creek
Special dispatch from Knoxvillle Tennessee reports three hundred men entombed by a massive explosion at Thistle Mine Coal Creek. Flames followed and escape was cut off with strong likelihood all perished. One man escaped through a ventilator hole. Also from GoLtaRD Texas nine killed by a tornado yesterday evening injuring over one hundred as it cut a path about a mile long and 300 yards wide.
