The Epis copal Female Institute girls left Winchester about 10 o clock for a picnic at Jordan's White Sulphur Springs. Despite morning rain threats the day turned sunny as vehicles with yellow and white colors conveyed the party to the grounds for a delightful outing. several young men, friends of the students, joined them at the springs.

Aged Victin's Arm Amputated After Mill Accident
At Beatty & Bloyer's sawmill near Winchester an elderly man, B. F. McDonald, 70, lost his left arm after a rotary saw injured him last Thursday. Doctors amputated about three inches above the elbow this morning due to gangrene. McDonald recovered from the chloroform and improved through the day, with friends hopeful for his eventual recovery.
