Ira Henson identified as the check forger behind a $9.75 bogus Crystal Cafe payment. He and a man calling himself Morton were connected to arrests in Martinsburg West Virginia and Front Royal Virginia. News reached Winchester of the death of Captain Charles Washington Coontz at 79. He had long lived in Hagerstown Md with his daughter Mrs E V East Antietam street. A Confederate Army figure in the Stonewall Brigade he served as Valley commissary. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery after services led by Rev D H Kern and Rev Dr John P Hyde. He had previously lived in Clarke county and Winchester where he ran the Hart Hotel now the William C Graicher Glove Co factory. Surviving are Mrs J Or Murphy Walk er Coontz and Mrs E B V Baker.

Frederick L. Glaize of Winchester, senior Glaize & Brother member, sued Captain R. Bruce Muse for 1000 dollars, claiming breach of contract over a Back Creek farm of about 35 acres bought for 3750. Colored Man Expires in Winchester At 24
Albert Walker a well known young colored man of Winchester died last evening at Aunt Nancy Marker on North Kent Street. He was rear ed after his parents death years ago and aged 24. While employed at Atlantic City he contracted consumption and died after months here. The funeral will be from the house of death at 2 30 tomorrow afternoon and interment will be in Orric cemetery in the southern suburbs.
