Injury to J Horace Lacy Jr After Fire Reel Accident
J Horace Lacy Jr son of Rev Dr and Mrs J Horace Lacy sustained a heavy blow to the side and bruises when a Charley Rouss Co reel struck him during a fire alarm drill on Main Street in Winchester. He was dragged twenty to twenty five feet but doctors expect no internal injuries. He was taken to Dr William S Love and later returned home.

A young white man named H. N. Williams of Summit Point Jefferson County fainted on Nagsh Main Street near the United States Express Office. He revived briefly after stimulants, then worsened and was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Reports say he drank heavily and may have suffered vertigo. some say he died that night.

Charles Lamden known as The Count dies in city hall lockup after arrest for drunkenness on Piccadilly street.
