John Scott of Toms Brook Virginia died at home Monday night at age eighty two after a long illness. He was a industrious, amiable man and a lifelong Lutheran. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church with Rev. C J Smith officiating. He is survived by his widow and children W A Scott of Stephens City Virginia Mrs Addison Henry of Winchester Mrs Bettie Ramey of Washington Mrs J Fleming near the plate Miss Alice Scott at home.

Information from Winchester reports Edgar Worthington formerly of the city remains gravely ill. He fell ill in Hagerstown about a week ago and was moved to a hospital, then to the Union Protestant Infirmary in Baltimore where a surgical operation may be needed.

Senator Wards Now At His Desk
