Terrific Winchesters Wind Storm Blows Trees Down
A severe wind storm in Winchester Tuesday evening felled trees and damaged property. A large tree on West Water Street near Christ Church Chapel blocked the street, and live wires were reported in several areas. Sparks and electric activity were seen near Monmouth and South Market streets, with others warning pedestrians away from dangerous branches. The storm also caused a drop in temperature, making today noticeably cold.
