Mrs J W Carter Dies At Boyce Virginia
Mrs. Cican da Carter of Clarke county Virginia died at her Boyce home at 5 p m Saturday after a long illness. She was 76 born in Clarke and lived there all her life. She leaves a son Thomas H Carter a daughter Mrs W W Reed and two brothers Henry Knight and Joseph Knight. Funeral services were held at her home at 2 p m with Rev J M Robeson of Millwood and burial at White Post cemetery.

Robert L. Lucas 65 died at his home near Shepherdstown Jefferson County after a long illness. He was a Confederate veteran of Company F Second Virginia Cavalry and spent 27 months in Fort Delaware Union prison. Survived by widow, one brother J B Lucas and one sister Miss Tex ava Lucas. He was a nephew of Judge Daniel B. Lucas.

The funeral for the late Mr. Owen Barr, killed by a freight locomotive near Thomas West Virginia last week, was conducted at the family home on North Kent Street by Rev. Drs.
