Severely Injured by Pitchfork in Kent Street Accident
Ernest Green son of John Green of south Kent street was struck by a pitchfork while helping load straw for a yard party at Hillman’s toll gate. Fire destroys Lockhart home near Gore in early morning blaze
Beverley Lockhart, owner and mail carrier, and his son Charles were at the Gore county residence when a kitchen chimney spark started a fire that quickly consumed the house and contents. James and his wife fled the flames, losing virtually all possessions with an estimated loss of 800 to 900 dollars.

Berryville Youth Archie Elwell Reported Dead in New York
News reached Berryville Virginia of the death of Archie Elwell in New York. Elwell, aged about twenty six, drank carbolic acid and died. He was a Clarke County resident, son of John Elwell, and left a widow and several children. He had recently been married and was said to be in prosperous condition.

Young Man Severely Wounded By Feed Cutter
A son of Mr. David Carpenter living near Opequon on Senseney road lost two fingers when his hand was caught in a feed cutter yesterday morning. He was rushed to Winchester for surgery where Dr. McGuire sutured the nearly severed fingers. Though the hand will be crippled the injury is not expected to cause further complications.

Thomas Cain Died After Dropsical Ailment in Raceburg
Thomas Cain of Raceburg died Saturday afternoon at his home from a long running dropsical condition. A wood-hauler by trade, he hauled wood to Winchester for sale and was 55 years old and unmarried. He left no survivors. An ulcerated leg wound from an earlier accident haunted him. The funeral was at 10 this morning at Little Mountain Church with Rev. John Shockey officiating and interment in Little Mountain graveyard.

Automobile Spooks Bay Horses in Millwood Incident
At around 11:30 p.m. two bay horses belonging to P. H. Mayo of Millwood were frightened by an automobile carrying two touring gentlemen. The wagon was damaged when the cart pole broke as the horses pranced, but repairs were made with a strap after the drivers calmed the team.
