Santa Claus Fund Aids 164 Winchester Children
The Santa Claus Association of Winchester thanks citizens for contributions to the poor fund. It supplied Santa to 164 local children with candies fruits nuts toys and crackers. Distribution was by Mrs C E Lyddane and Misses Bes sie Sue Peddicord and C C Page. The financial committee reports full obligations paid and slight surplus to charity work. Plans for a larger effort next year aim to give Winchester’s poor children a memorable Christmas.

Mysterious Louisville Broker Closes Local Office

Sydney reports Jack Johnson of Galveston Texas defeated Tommy Burns of Canada in the fourteenth round to win the world heavyweight boxing championship.
