The Santa Claus Association asks for donations to provide a holiday package for over 150 underprivileged children ages two to fourteen. Gifts include candy oranges apples nuts fire crackers Roman candles a doll or book for girls and a small present. Contributions may be left with J M Hodgkin or Joe R Martin or B R Jouett, or send names and addresses of eligible children to Mrs C E Lyddane by December 21 for delivery by Thursday night.

In Penrold Kentucky at 1 am night riders destroyed the Lewis Kirkpatrick tobacco factory and 25 000 pounds of H N Martin Leaf Company tobacco bought from the association. Martin Company recently purchased 100 000 pounds from Muhlenberg County Association handled by Kirkpatrick. Tobacco valued at 1500 dollars insured. Factory loss 5000 dollars, uninsured.

Street lights out after power plant box fault
