Resolutions Adopted for Pastor G W Shepherd Departure

The First Baptist Church of Lakeland Florida adopted resolutions on November 27 1910 upon Rev G W Shepherd leaving to lead Central Baptist Church. They praise his ministry over eighteen months calling him a true servant of God and leading the church to growth and moral leadership. The note commends him as a man of high character and places a copy on church records and for publication.

Death of Indiana charity worker Ella McCoy in transit

Mrs Ella Bush McCoy aged 65 a noted Indiana charity worker died in Indianapolis while being transported home by ambulance after suddenly falling ill at the corner of Washington and Pennsylvania streets She was with Mrs William J McKee at the time and the incident occurred near the city dispensary ambulance route to 132 East St Joseph Street.

Two Richmond Girls Arrested Over Check at Local Store

Grace Church and Cleo Spicer two sixteen year old girls from Richmond traveled to Cincinnati but stopped for clothing in our city. They used a forged check signed with Mr Church's name to cover a blue and tan suit purchased at A Feld. Sheriff and police detained them while Mr Church arranged return.

The funeral of Miss Minnie Hensley who died at her home on the Mt. Sterling pike Tuesday night of pneumonia was held Thursday at noon. The body was buried in the Allen burying ground.
