C G Anderson Dies at Country Home at Capon Springs
Cor nelius G Anderson aged 88 died last Saturday at his Capon Springs home after a year of illness. Funeral held with services at Hebron Lutheran Church conducted by Rev C H Anderson and Rev L B Williamson. Burial followed in the family plot beside the church. He leaves a widow formerly Sarah Brill, two sons Conrad G and Edward, a daughter Laura Hannum, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He helped build Capon Springs Mountain House hotel and lived 55 years in his final home.

Shooting near Rosenberger leaves man wounded in ambush
Frederick County authorities investigated a shooting near Rosenberger northwest of Winchester. Theodore Nicholson allegedly shot Lee Richards after a Sunday dispute.
