George Francis Davis aged 35 of Summit Point Jefferson County West Virginia died about 9 30 this morning at his father's home after a year long illness affecting his liver and throat. He previously worked in government service and later in mercantile business at Summit Point but was unable to work last year due to poor health. He belonged to Stone's Chapel Presbyterian Church and the Loyal Workers Bible Class of the Southern Methodist Church at Summit Point. He is survived by his father Dr. G A Davis two brothers Albert Davis of Baltimore and Edward M Davis of Lorraine Ohio an adopted sister Mrs Hattie Snider of Wilmington Ohio and several nephews and nieces. He was a nephew of the late Dr E Douglas Davis of Winchester. The funeral will be from the Summit Point home Saturday at 1 pm conducted by Rev W D Eye with interment at Edge Hill Cemetery Charles Town Pallbearers are R W Baker A D Jones George Crim Stewart Crim Wilmer Whiting and Bedford Green.
