Shenandoah Dirigible Reaches Winchester Amid Welcome
The Shenandoah airship passed over Winchester at noon after a flight from Lakehurst New Jersey. Crowds lined streets as bells rang and sirens wailed in a festive reception for the ZR-1. The craft flew about 3 000 feet high at 50 mph with engines at cruising speed.

Two Truck Accidents Injure Three Children in Town
Two traffic crashes yesterday left three youths injured in separate parts of town. Ralph Strosnider and Curtis Bly, both about 14, were hurt when a truck driven by Air Strone Sprint collided with their bicycle at South Main and Cecil streets. Lona s ten year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lona was struck by a truck near North Kent street, suffering abdominal and facial injuries. Truck driver Jesse James Peacemaker was arrested but released on recognizance awaiting the child’s prognosis.
