Winchester Man Ends Life After Eluding Baltimore Attendant
John L. Cooper, a junior member of the T. J. Cooper and Sons wholesale grocery firm, shot himself in his Winchester home after fleeing an attendant while visiting Baltimore for treatment of a nervous disorder. He had been at a sanitarium near Baltimore and was about 37, widely known and respected in the city.

Miss Lucy Denny daughter of Bishop Collins Denny of the Methodist Episcopal Church South native of Winchester was among six Randolph Macon College graduates who wore Postal Telegraph Company colors in Richmond Virginia initiating a female messenger experiment. Eagles Invest 500 in Liberty Bonds by Winchester Aerie
Winchester Aerie No. 824 Fraternal Order of Eagles voted unanimously at a meeting to invest 500 in Liberty Loan bonds.
