Optimist Club Receives National Honor in Winchester Virginia
The Optimist Club of Winchester Virginia earned the Honor Club Award from Optimist International for 1966-67. Lt Gov Bill Locke noted Winchester is one of 223 clubs to receive the honor, with 41 members and a growth of 26 that year. The club supports local projects including Memorial Park shelters, Challenge Scholarship, Pony League and basketball teams, and civic activities within the city and county.
