Washington Oct 25 The Senate plan for a 5.788 billion tax cut moves to a conference with the House to resolve wide differences. Senate relief totals 2.644 billion for individuals and 2.934 billion for corporations, with 140 million for cars and boats and 70 million in excise repeal.
The Rev. Dr. William Robert Moody was consecrated bishop of the Lexington Diocese in traditional ceremonies. Presiding Bishop Henry St. George Tucker led the service before a crowded congregation at the Protestant Episcopal Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

LAURANCE STUNTZ reports from BUENOS AIRES that a radical party spokesman charged police coerced workers into joining the October 17 demonstration that restored Col. Juan Peron to power. He denied broad labor masses support Peron and said preparations included official aid, trucks, transport, and food gifts for demonstrators. Cisneros, backing Amadeo Sabattini, claimed the rally was manufactured rather than spontaneous.

The House Military Committee declined to grant congressional veto power over the foreign licensing authority of the proposed Atomic Energy commission. The vote leaves cooperation with foreign interests in atomic energy to be debated on the House floor, possibly next week. Rep. Elston argued for a presidential and congressional approval veto.

Assistant Secretary of War John J. McCloy visited Omori prison camp near Yokohama with Lt. Gen. Eichelberger to see American POW conditions. He spoke with Hideki Tojo and Gen. Homma, who claimed adequate food as lice and vermin lingered, while the group also saw Yokohama prison.
Fugitive Jay Paul Shelton 28, a used car dealer, eluded U S marshals after escaping from their office in Richmond. FBI, state and local police widened a dragnet across the state to arrest the man accused of stealing a car in August 1944 and transporting it across state lines. Shelton had been acquitted September 28 of attempted bank robbery and abduction charges in Falls Church.
Winchester police seek a bold thief or group who during the week of October 13 entered the Colored St. Paul AME Church on N Loudoun Street and stole a silver communion service set including two plates two goblets a wine pitcher baptismal glass and a large top bell. Janitor Albert F. Martin reported the loss after discovering an open vestibule door and lights burning. Rev. W H Tynes is the church pastor.
General MacArthur issues a directive from the Allied powers demanding Japan cut relations with all foreign governments. Japan must recall its diplomatic and consular representatives and turn over diplomatic properties and papers worldwide to the Allies. Details on the purpose remain un disclosed.
Westinghouse Electric Corporation plans to do 369 million dollars in business next year if labor and material troubles are overcome. It aims to spend 63 million dollars on reconversion and expansion, while unionized workers seek back pay and a two dollar daily raise. Gwilym A.
