Frederick county warden announces hunting for all game including squirrels and rabbits is closed until November 15, 1922. Farmers will be afield on opening day November 16, and dogs must be licensed and tagged. Dog licenses for 1923 available after November 1, with enforcement starting May 1.
Representative Thomas W. Harrison will speak to voters of Stephens City in this county next Tuesday evening October 24 at 8 o clock. The event is scheduled to take place in Stephens City.

Mr and Mrs Fred K Betts announce the birth of their son Fred K Betts Jr born Sunday morning at their North Washington street home. The notice requests applicants for work at Handley School and lists real estate and employment inquiries.
A coroner's jury ruled the homicide of Mrs. Clara Harlow, 19, justifiable after her husband George A. Harlow, 30, was accused of clubbing her with a shotgun near their North Fork home when he found her with a younger man. The youth in question was later detained at his parents' North Fork residence.
The Page News and Courier editorial from Luray Virginia argues that Democrat Thomas W. Harrison has special claims to district support after a Republican committee action would curb voters' rights. Rufus Tyler Lincoln professor of physics at Amherst College for 31 years, author of well known physics texts, died at his home in Amherst Mass aged 66. He taught at the college and contributed to scientific education.
Attorney General Saunders and R Gray Williams dispute Westmoreland Davis charges over the Valley Turnpike Company deed. They confirm the original 1918 deed and a supplementary deed have been examined, approved, and turned over to the State Highway Commission for proper recording.

George M. Fryer, one of the region’s youngest Civil War veterans, died at his Hagerstown home after a general illness aged 75. He will be interred in Winchester National Cemetery after funeral services in Hagerstown. Survived by widow Sarah Fryer and daughter Aida L. Fryer, he had two brothers, John Fryer of Hagerstown and Alvey Fryer of Walla Walla, Washington. He served in Company B, 11th Maryland Infantry from enlistment to war’s end.
Mrs. Marcellus Anderson narrowly escaped injury when her seven passenger Studebaker rolled over an embankment into the town run near the Pennsylvania Railroad passenger station. The car slid into the water after the wall collapsed, but Mrs. Anderson was uninjured and the vehicle suffered no damage. A George Crowser 10 ton truck pulled it from the creek.
Virginia will lose about 1,000,000 from income taxes this year roughly half of last year’s total. With reduced revenue from common carriers and lower bond stock and note income revenues are expected to drop about 1,500,000 compared with last year. In east Baltimore two fires caused over 400000 in losses this morning. The Porcelain Enameling Manufacturing Company faced about 400000 in damage and Steuart Son & Company about 15000. A fireman was injured when a wagon collided with a streetcar as passengers were jolted by the crash and flying glass.
The trial of William Carter Cronmiller of near Savage Howard county Mary land for the murder of Bernard Pattison of Howard county began in the circuit court at Annapolis before Judge Robert Moss. The jury was completed before noon. On motion of Mrs Marvelle Pease Cronmiller’s co defendant she was granted a severance and her trial may begin as Cronmiller's ends.
Vice Admiral Andrew T. Long transferred his flag from the Utah to the Pittsburgh in Gibraltar. The ceremony took place with the usual salutes. The Pittsburgh will sail for Mediterranean service while the Utah heads back to the United States. Lost watch noted and reward offered at 18 W Clifton.

Smaller two and a half inch apples sold well in Glasgow for 15 years.
