Winchester Man Apprehended After House Fire Incident

A Winchester man was forcefully removed from a city dwelling by police after knocking a volunteer fireman down stairs during a furnace fire on the corner of Loudoun and Leicester Streets. Fire Chief Dailey had called for air masks as firefighters contained the blaze. The injured firefighter, Mike Blackburn, was taken to Winchester Memorial Hospital. The fire was later controlled with no damage estimate available.
