James M. Lockhart, longtime proprietor of Rock Enon Springs, announces retirement as proprietor on November 8 with a public sale of personal property. The springs, once operated by A. S. Leesburg VA reports posses are searching for the gunman in the killing of J. D. Lambert Jr. during a raid near Belmont Park in Frederick County. Lambert, a Virginia prohibition inspector, was well known in Winchester and Frederick County. authorities note he had led raids on moonshine stills last September with another officer.
The Empire Theatre announces a Zane Grey Paramount picture coming to town next week with seats available for the comedy Just Married. Io Christian Endeavor at the U B Church holds a Sunday 6 45 pm service on What Is Christian Citizenship led by Silas Cather. Eight new members joined last Sunday and a business meeting is set for Wednesday evening led by A S Hott and Miss Madeline Anderson.
