Chestertown Maryland October 18 federal and Kent county officers dynamited a 1250 gallon whiskey distillery seized 520 gallons of whisky and arrested four men after a violent raid led by internal revenue agent Charles J Callahan The operation aimed to curb illicit liquor supply on the upper Eastern Shore and was the second large distillery destroyed in Kent county in a week The men were held for hearing before U S Commissioner W R Horney at Centreville and charged with illicit manufacture of liquor with deputies and others assisting in the raid.
