Paris dispatch says an Official Petrograd notice declares Petrograd taken after Bolsheviks captured the city. Helsingfors reports Kronstadt raised white flag. Yudenitch’s forces claim Krasnoe Selo and Gatchina with local workers seeking non shelling pledge to switch sides.
The Senate Interstate Commerce Committee added penalties to end railroad strikes including penalties for employees who strike or foment strikes. The bill also creates a federal wage and working conditions commission with regional panels to settle local disputes.
London reports 1,600 profiteering tribunals are in operation as the profiteering act backs prosecutions. Charles A. McCurdy says the food ministry has instituted 1,350 prosecutions and secured fines totaling 35000 dollars. The note urges War Savings Stamps investments.
