Rhyne Home Damaged By Fire Near Stephenson

Fire of unknown origin yesterday caused several hundred dollars in damage to P. H. Rhyne’s home near Stephenson. Neighbors and Winchester and Friendship fire crews fought the blaze, discovering the fire in a partition and cutting away walls to reach it. Origin and insurance status were not known.

Harry F. Byrd of this city will be the principal speaker at a Martinsburg West Virginia Democratic rally on Wednesday evening October 19 at 8 o clock in Central Theatre. He replaces United States Senator M M Neely who was called to Wheeling for a conference with Governor Roosevelt. Neely cancelled the Martinsburg appearance on party leaders advice and Byrd was pressed into service. A parade will precede the event with a band leading and playing during the meeting.
