Would-Be-Killer Is Captured in Fairfax County
Sheriff Luther Pannett returned from Fairfax Court House with Hugh Nelson in custody. Nelson, a colored man, faces Frederick County Circuit Court on charges of assault with intent to kill Dwight Funkhouser and possession of liquor. He allegedly shot at two boys berry picking near Vienna and had a still and mash at his uncle’s home. Nelson admits the shooting was to scare the boys away.
