Davis Criticizes Republican Leadership in 1924 Speech
A Win in Virginia dated October 13, 1924 reports a critical speech attacking Republican leaders and their handling of graft and policy. The speaker endorses Davis while challenging party administration and the Pordney McCumber tariff as flawed.
Fragmentary Rural Complaint Notes Health and Toll of Duty
A garbled antebellum style fragment lists pains and aches from many names and chores. The speaker mentions lumbago stitches and a distant “earth a swine” image while noting ongoing tasks and distress without clear events or dates. The piece reads as a stream of symptoms and weary labor.
