Tuck and an advisory board for more than 93.68 million dollars for 1948-50 to fund higher teacher salaries a state-operated transportation system and broader educational programs. Mil ler states superintendent of public instruction calls for major funding as hearings in the Senate chamber continue. The request plus other agencies’ pleas push general fund requests to nearly 119 million for 1948-50 far exceeding 1946-48 appropriations.
