Teen Scene notes WCY meetings and dances
The WCY council meets at 2 p.m. at the Catholic Church and a Membership Rally follows next Sunday at the Episcopal Parish Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. Memberships are 25 cents. A Joy dance at the War Memorial Building runs 7:30 to 11 p.m. coats and ties for boys and school clothes for girls required. TACs meet 2 to 4 p.m. with Marion Lewis speaking on the Coffee House and games to follow. Memberships $2 may be bought at the dance or Sunday meeting.

Shenandoah College and Winchester Memorial Hospital offer a cooperative nursing scholarship program for high school graduates in the Winchester area. Students may take full, three quarters, or half scholarships with service periods tied to study length and state board licensing. the program supports 28 graduates so far with many remaining employed.
