Second graders tour local apple industry learning process
Patricia Gochenour's class visited Fruit Hill Orchards to see a mechanical apple picker and learn about seeds. They toured Old Mill Storage to understand washing and bagging apples and National Fruit Products to observe peeling and processing into jelly juice and vinegar. The play titled the apple Jack ate will depict how the fruit reaches Jack's house.
