Eleven Reported Killed In Carolina Bus-Truck Crash
Eleven persons died and 18 were injured when a gasoline tanker sideswiped a wagon and collided with a heavily loaded Queen City Trailways bus north of Lumberton North Carolina. Eyewitness Robert Taylor of the Robesonian said the tanker exploded after impact and burned the passengers. Names of the dead and injured were not immediately known. The tanker driver was identified as Tinson Branch of Lumberton. The crash site was about 16 miles north of Lumberton.
