Winchester district Red Cross conference was held at the George Washington Hotel with 193 registered. Mayor C R Anderson urged world responsibility for welfare and the peace ideal as officials from neighboring counties attended.

It may include recommendations from the local and public improvement committee on regulating slaughterhouses in the city. There is no formal notice yet. J. Frank Glover an engineer and Harriet L Tynes district supervisor of FERA visited Staunton office and Winchester today to review the local relief program and interview citizens connected with the work.
