Mr. Seymour Dead After Eight Months Illness
Edward K. Seymour died at 245 o'clock this morning at his sister's home, 426 North Main street, after an eight month illness. He is survived by three sisters in Washington D C and Mount Olive, and two brothers in Pittsburg and Philadelphia. Relatives will meet at the house at 10 o'clock Saturday morning to accompany the remains to Mount Olive for funeral services conducted by Rev Dr J H Lacy. Burial will be in Mount Olive graveyard.

Captain Barton in France Safe Says Cablegram
Mrs. R. T. Barton received a cablegram from her son Captain Albert T. Barton of the 313th Field Artillery now in France reporting he is safe. Rumors he may have been wounded in October eased as Thanksgiving approached and his letters resumed regularity. Barton, a popular Winchester officer, served with the Eightieth Division and saw heavy artillery fire as American forces advanced toward the armistice. The War Department released a statement listing commands and fronts, noting heavy actions between November 7 and 11 near the Somme and Vouloir areas.
