Gets Three Months For Selling Liquor
In police court yesterday John Williams, colored, was sentenced to two months on the roads and fined six on a charge of selling liquor. He had previously been fined on an illegal possession charge and had a thirty day jail sentence suspended during future good behavior. As his second offense, selling liquor, violated the suspended sentence, 30 days were added to his sentence making 90 days to serve. Robert Page and George Parmus, for fighting, paid $15 each in the small court.
