He was vp of Farmers and Merchants National Bank Winchester, a longtime Democrat and military staff appointee of Gov Crothers. Funeral planned in Cumberland at St Patrick Church with burial in Catholic Cemetery. he left Winchester as a boy of 17 a self made millionaire.
