Raid Finds Ten Gallons Of Liquor In McFarland House
Sheriff Pannett and Officers Boyd and Gordon searched the George McFarland residence in northeast Winchester under a warrant. They claim to found two liquor kegs totaling about ten gallons. one keg held eight gallons and the other about two gallons. McFarland could not be located. a warrant for arrest on illegal possession has been issued.

Nearly 100 American Legion members from Berkeley County traveled to Winchester Virginia to watch Martinsburg lose the football game between the two posts. Afterward about 25 Martinsburg Legionnaires joined the Winchester parade to Berryville Virginia for Armistice Day celebrations with an 8 o'clock parade and merriment. Earlier Prosecuting Attorney Herbert Hannis and Dr James A Huff went to Romney for an Armistice Day address.
