Berlin reports Goebbels warned Jews both in Germany and abroad that new restrictive laws would be issued within days. He dismissed yesterday’s anti Jewish violence as spontaneous and suggested ghettos could be restored, with Jews confined to city ghettos and shops only to service the community.
Handley led Fredericksburg 6 0 at Handley Stadium on Armistice Day as Dunn the fleet quarterback ran 40 yards for a score. Fredericksburg stiffened in the first half before Dunn added a 25 yard run to the Fredericksburg 1 yard line before the whistle ended the half.

Thomas Dillard Griffin 83, a longtime U S N retiree and one of the navy’s last commodores, died in Annapolis after a long illness. Funeral set for Monday at 3 PM. Born Salem Virginia December 17 1854 he entered the academy in 1872 and served until 1911 with recall during World War I. Survived by wife Emily Ash Claytor and two sons Lieut. John H. Griffin and Thomas C. Griffin.
Prisoners at the state penitentiary had a day off for Armistice Day with no work in the plants and a morning film. They enjoyed a special dinner of roast pork ice cream and cake while Superintendent Rice M. Youell listed the seven holidays observed including Washington's Birthday Memorial Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Christmas and Independence Day.
