Explosion rocks West Pittston high school building
An unfinished West Pittston high school building in WilkesBarre Pa was struck by a dynamite blast. A quick thinking workman extinguished a sputtering fuse preventing fourteen sticks of dynamite from exploding as the Scranton WilkesBarre train passed. Damages to the school are not yet estimated and nearby residents were awakened by the blast. The incident occurred three miles from the school near a candy factory that was blown up weeks earlier.
