Dr Alfred Henkel Dies at 87 in Winchester
Dr Alfred Davis Henkel of 29 South Cameron Street dies peacefully at his home in his 87th year. He was born April 20 1861 and earned an 1887 medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Survived by son Alfred Stephenson Henkel daughter Virginia Moreland Henkel five sisters and widow Margaret Moreland Stephenson. Funeral arrangements noted to continue on page 2.

Leading Citizen And Educator Dies At 83 In Winchester
Francis Baldwin Crawford 83 of 20 North Washington Street Winchester died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services set for tomorrow at 11 A M at Winchester Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ronald S Wilson and other clergy officiating. Crawford long served as a Ruling Elder at the church and was an educator at McDonogh School for Boys and Shenandoah Valley Academy. He was an assistant to the City of Winchester Revenue Commissioner for over two decades and an avid local historian. He was born to Rev. William Crawford and Elizabeth Leche in Frederick County and educated at Shenandoah Valley Academy and Washington and Lee University. He taught in Maryland and Virginia schools for many years. He is survived by his wife and family relations noted in the notice.
