Lightning Kills Man and Horses on P P Long Farm
Thomas Dinges, worker on the P P Long farm near Luray, was killed by lightning while plowing corn yesterday afternoon. The two horses drawing the plow also died. The storm swept the county with hail and strong winds. Dinges, 45, left a wife and eight children and had long worked for the Long farm. He was brother to Mrs W M Rothgeb of Luray and had numerous Frederick county relatives.
