Manslaughter Trial Set June 6 In Circuit Court

Howard F. Cooper pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in Frederick County Circuit Court. His trial is scheduled for June 6 before a felony jury over the May 2 crash that killed Frank E. Dennison of Ithaca, New York. Dennison died May 7 in Memorial Hospital after the collision. A circuit court grand jury indicted Cooper earlier this week. local attorney Thomas Monahan was appointed to defend him. In separate actions, three people pleaded guilty to a perjury charge tied to a drunken driving case. Lillie V. Barrett and Rosie Anderson McKee also pled guilty.
