Fire destroys Shawnee Abattoir on East Pall Mall
Fire of undetermined origin swept the Shawnee Abattoir on East Pall Mall Street early this morning. Owner William Boyce estimated at least 15000 dollars to rebuild the largely frame structure. Howard Perry had been operating the business after Boyce purchased it this year. Fire Inspector Godh enour noted the blaze started on the east side and rekindling occurred around five.

Millwood Man Dies After Rt. 50 Crash
Robert Randolph Williams Jr of Millwood died after his car clipped a tractor trailer on a curved section of Rt. 50 two miles east of Millwood. The truck driver Benjamin F Houston of Richmond was uninjured. Williams died at Winchester Memorial Hospital at 2 10 a.m. after the 12 25 a.m. crash.
