A corrected estimate puts yesterday fire damage at 240 homes burned and 1050 people homeless. Public halls and fields house the displaced as the blaze swept twenty riverfront blocks, threatening millions in property. Mrs Lula Byrd wife of Alexander Byrd died Tuesday morning at their Mogadore Ohio home after a pneumonia illness that followed influenza. She was a daughter of James and Mrs Martha Voorhees of Martinsburg West Virginia born near Darkesville Berkeley County. Survived by two children, both parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral held today at Martinsburg home of her parents with Rev B W Meeks of Baltimore officiating and burial in Norburne Cemetery.
