Christ Picture Made in Prison May Win Pardon
A painting by Max Sasanoff, a Russian inmate at the United States penitentiary in New York, depicting the Savior on the temple steps with the sick and weary, could win him a pardon after six months of work. Critics praise the mural, comparing it to European church decorations, and prisoners posed for the figures.
