Warren County budget hearing on school cuts draws complaints
Warren County supervisors held a public hearing on the proposed 1979-80 budget of 7.78 million dollars with an 8.7 percent rise over last year. School funding was cut to 5.88 million, provoking objections from board member Dr. Donald McNeill and Pearl Crowder who urged restoring funds to meet mandatory programs and avoid a 100000 shortfall.
