Doctor of Law Morton Led Winchester History Work
O Frederic Morton historian and genealogist died at Winchester Memorial Hospital after a month long illness from Bright s disease. He moved to Winchester in 1921 and wrote The Story of Winchester in Virginia and county histories in West and Virginia. He served as assistant librarian in the Virginia State Library and professionally reorganized county records. He left a wife and young son in Indiana and was 68 years old.
