Agricultural outlook warns of declining exports and careful farming
Virginia State College economist I Love warns of a likely drop in total exports in 1948 and beyond, with reduced demand for farm products abroad. He urges farmers to tighten finances, extend debt maturities, cut costs, conserve labor, curb expensive equipment purchases, cull low producing livestock, and build a reserve with Savings Bonds.
