A blaze at the Kremer property on South Kent Street threatened about 60000 cubic feet of illuminating gas near the Winchest Gas and Electric Light plant. Fire crews battled the stubborn blaze, keep ing flames from the gas tanks and nearby hitching yard while horses panicked and were led to safety. Owners C P Kremer Thomas E Kremer and James Carper owned affected stables sheds and feed with chickens and eggs burned or damaged.

Funeral of Henry Triplett in Winchester
The remains of Henry Triplett, a member of a prominent Winchester family, arrived from Pittsburgh and funeral services were held at his house on Saturday afternoon conducted by Revs. Fisher and Queen.
