School Budget $6.8 Million Readied After Board Compromise
The School Board, after negotiations with the WEA, adopts a revised salary scale with a higher minimum but smaller annual step increase. They pare $40,000 from budget requests, mainly by cutting instructional positions and lowering each step by $100. The plan calls for $6.78 million in total expenditures and a bond issue to finance two new schools by 1973.
